Majestic Elk
Finally! I’ve chased phantom Elk Herds from Arizona to South Dakota with not even a glimpse. Now back on the east coast I’ve finally found them. Although this was a Tennessee Vacation the elk I found were actually in North Carolina. But no matter the state the thrill was the same and this big guy was righ next to the road. The shot was taken out my driver side window. I didn’t even need to get out of the car or pull out the big lens! Persistence pays off! This guy is tagged and wearing a radio collar so the scientists can track his movements.
